From Girls on the Run of Western North Carolina:

ASHEVILLE, NC, October 7, 2013 – Girls on the Run® of Western North Carolina (GOTR of WNC) is looking for volunteers to help with the planning of their Fall 5k on December 7th. The race is the final celebration for all the girls and coaches who participated in the GOTR Fall 2013 program.

“Volunteers are such an important part of helping our girls feel a sense of accomplishment for all the hard work they put in,” says Amy Renigar, GOTR of WNC’s Executive Director. She adds, “We couldn’t complete all the 5k planning without the help of our wonderful volunteers. They are filled with the energy and enthusiasm that represents true GOTR spirit, and we appreciate all they do to make each event special.”

Volunteer meetings will be held on Monday evenings in Asheville mid-October through the end of November. Anyone interested in helping should contact GOTR’s Community Outreach Manager, Robin Mehler, at (828)713-6859 or robin.mehler@girlsontherun.org.
