Green Opportunities Hosts Open House to Introduce New Executive Director

ASHEVILLE – Green Opportunities (GO) will hold an Open House introducing GO’s new Executive Director, George C. Jones Jr., and his vision for the future of the organization on Wednesday, October 21st.

The Open House will be held in the Arthur R. Edington Education and Career Center from 5:30pm to 8:00pm and will feature refreshments from our culinary arts students, live demos in our state-of-the-art woodshop and opportunities to learn about the other wonderful organizations that work out of the center.

“Throughout my career, I have had a passion for community development and helping others to maximize their potential,” says Mr. Jones. “I recognize the importance of economically transforming communities, but also how critical it is to do so in a manner that preserves the pride and dignity of a community and the individuals seeking support.”

The Board and staff at GO are eager to introduce stakeholders and community members to Mr. Jones during the Open House and invite them to join in this exciting new chapter of the organization’s development.
