Hall Fletcher book giveaway, June 9

WHAT: Students from all six grades at Hall Fletcher Elementary School will have their pick of nearly 1000 free books, courtesy of local authors Elizabeth Kostova and David Madden and the WNC Yale Alumni Club.

WHEN: Monday, June 9th, 8:30 10:30 a.m.

 

WHERE: Hall Fletcher Elementary School (Library) 60 Ridgelawn Ave. | Asheville, NC

WHO: David Madden, author of London Bridge in Plague and Fire

DETAILS: Kostova and Madden gathered the books over the past year through donations and purchases. They were joined in this effort by Connor Fay and Bill McAninch of the Yale Alumni Club, which is committed to enhancing academics at Hall Fletcher. Kostova’s mother, retired Buncombe County librarian Eleanor Johnson, collected books as well.

All visitors must sign in at the front office.
