WHAT: HempX Asheville, a two-day educational festival on the uses and opportunities of industrial hemp and A Taste of Hemp, a hemp-based lunch featuring Plant Restaurant’s Chef Jason Sellers.

WHO: HempX, Adapt and Highland Brewing Company.

WHERE: Highland Brewing Company, 12 Old Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, NC 28803.

WHEN: Friday, August 19 – Saturday, August 20, Noon-10 pm

INFO: The second annual event highlighting the uses and opportunities of industrial hemp and featuring thought leaders in the industry from across the country. North Carolina and neighboring states have recently legalized hemp farming and the first panel will discuss current legislation and future possibilities for farmers. Additionally, there will be panels on hemp farming, CBD and a hemp fashion show. Noted hemp expert and bestselling author Doug Fine will be speaking on Saturday. A Taste of Hemp is the only ticketed event; the rest of the programming at the festival is free, including music in the Highland Meadow Friday and Saturday nights. HempX Asheville is a family-friendly.
