98.1 the RIVER and the Asheville Downtown Association are proud to announce that Homegrown in Pritchard returns to Pritchard Park on Thursdays June 6 through August 29. Homegrown in Pritchard is a free summer concert series featuring local singer-songwriters performing from 6-8pm. Artists performing in the concert series will also be featured on the Homegrown radio program Sunday nights on 98.1 the RIVER.

The RIVER’s never-ending mission is to serve Asheville’s musically adventurous adults that live independently of the masses. Hosts on the RIVER are musicologists that share insight about the music heard on the station in a no-hype adult way.

Founded in 1987 by a group of business owners, residents and city staff, the ADA remains committed to the preservation and improvement of the central business district through programming, civic support and annual objectives. As the voice of downtown residents, merchants and workers, the ADA advocates for policies and practices that will best help growth and preserve the quality of life in downtown. Annually, the organization produces events including Downtown After 5, the Asheville Holiday Parade, Oktoberfest, the State of Downtown Luncheon and the Pritchard Park Cultural Arts Program.
