Immigration rights attorney to speak at UNCA Oct. 27

Refugees in Crisis: From Texas to Turkey – Talk by Immigration Rights Attorney Martin Rosenbluth at UNC Asheville Oct. 27

Martin Rosenbluth, a North Carolina-based immigration rights attorney will give a talk, Refugees in Crisis: From Texas to Turkey, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at UNC Asheville’s Karpen Hall, in the Laurel Forum. This is a free event, open to everyone.

Rosenbluth has begun working pro-bono as a legal advisor and training coordinator for the U.S.-based nonprofit Advocates Abroad and recently took trips to Texas and Europe to provide legal assistance for immigrants. He spent a month on the Texas-Mexico border working with refugees from Latin America, and six weeks in Lesbos, Greece working with refugees from Syria and elsewhere.
