Informational meetings about hiking clubs held on Jan. 15 & Jan. 22

The Swannanoa Valley Museum announces three dates of informational meetings for two different educational hiking clubs in the area: The Swannanoa Rim Hike series and the Valley History Explorer series. More from the Swannanoa Valley Museum:

Learn about the Swannanoa Rim Hike Series and Valley History Explorer Series during this free informational meeting. The meeting will provide an introduction to the program offerings, details about the individual hikes, advice for hikers, and information about our scholarships. The Swannanoa Valley Museum’s exclusive Swannanoa Rim Explorer Hiking Series consist of 11 hikes that take place each month over the course of a year and will navigate the entirety of the 31-mile rim of the Swannanoa Valley. The Valley History Explorer Hiking Series offers the opportunity to revisit the past of the unique communities that make up the Swannanoa Valley through 7 moderate hikes. Cost: Free to attend Interest Meeting

Entire Rim Series: $280 for members, $500 for nonmembers

Each Rim Hike: $30 for members, $50 for non members

Entire Valley Explorer Series: $140 for members, $210 for nonmembers

Each Valley Explorer Hike: $20 for members, $30 for non members
