Jackson County Farmers Market hold ‘Shed Your Change’ fundraiser

Press Release

The Jackson County Farmers Market

The Jackson County Farmers Market has begun its Shed Your Change Campaign. We are currently in the process of raising money to build a storage shed at our outdoor market location in the Bridge Park Parking Lot. The market offers year round fresh veggies and meats as well as locally made crafts, herbal remedies and soaps.

There are three upcoming opportunities to Shed Your Change:

1. You can donate your extra change at the Information Table after shopping at the market.

2. Have brunch this Saturday the 22nd at our Fundraising Brunch of Sausage and Egg Biscuits served during the winter market on March 22nd from 10 -1.

3. Come to town Saturday, March 29th for the Appalachian Square Dance called by NC House Representative Joe Sam Queen with music by Out of the Woodwork. Dance from 7-9 and Silent Auction from 6-8 with a variety of local goods and services available. Location is 492 West Main Street in the former Main Design location. Visit participating restaurants beforehand – Guadalupe Café, Signature Brew, City Lights Café and the Mad Batter Dining Theater, although not open yet by the 29th is still supporting the dance. Kid friendly and light refreshments available. Admission to dance is your loose change or $5.
