Dementia:  Embracing the Moment: A Workshop for Caregiving

Improv Tools for Living in the Now

Asheville, NC:     Dementia:  Embracing the Moment – Improv Tools for Living in the Now:  A three-part workshop for caregivers of  individuals with dementia is scheduled on Friday afternoon, February 6th, 13th, and 20th from 1  to 3 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church in the choir room at 2840 Hendersonville Road in Fletcher.

This workshop is an opportunity for caregivers to explore new ways of responding to this important role in life.  The three-class series on caregiving improv will provide activities and discussion on creative way to listen, connect, meet challenging situations and honor one’s own needs.

The workshop is presented by Jane Sherman of Memory Loss Collaborative, an advocate for those living with the challenges of dementia, and Cappy Tosetti, positive aging instructor and owner ofAerobics for the Brain.

The workshop fee is $50 for the three-part series and limited to 20 individuals.  There is free parking at Calvary Episcopal Church.  Check-in and registration begins at 12:30pm with two hours of class from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
