January programs at Youth OUTright

Youth OUTright, WNC, Inc., swings into the New Year with a full complement of January programming.
Programs are held every Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in downtown Asheville. Plus, YO’s monthly expressive arts program is happening WEEKLY on Thursdays in 2014! From 5-6:30 pm at our regular space in FCUCC at 20 Oak Street, YO will host local teachers and artists to instruct us in all the creative arts Asheville has to offer! Each month will feature a theme–Poetry, Dance, Comedy, Circus Arts, etc.–and each week of that month will feature a different workshop or activity on that theme. This month, we also feature special activities for No Name-Calling Week.

Thursday 1/2: Express YO-Self! Poetry

Sunday 1/5: Our Voice joins YO to present the first half of a 2-part Climbing Toward Confidence program. This week, we’ll talk about sexual harassment, setting boundaries and safety. We’ll be at our regular location and will get liability waivers for the following week. All are welcome to attend Part 1, even if not attending Part 2, but attendance at Part 1 is mandatory to participate in Part 2. Space is limited, email al.murray@youthoutright.org or call 828.785.3621
