Judge: settlement documents in former Sherriff Davis case are public record

From the Hendersonville Times-News:

A Henderson County judge has ruled that documents pertaining to a settlement between former Sheriff Rick Davis and an ex-employee are public record and will release the documents in the coming weeks.

In January, Gannett Pacific Corporation, doing business as the Asheville Citizen-Times, sued Henderson County, the board of commissioners, the N.C. Association of County Commissioners and Davis, arguing that the particulars of the settlement should be made public.
