July 14 bellyak launch party will feature free demos, beer, music

The founders of an Asheville company recently invented a new way of enjoying riding down Western North Carolina’s plentiful rivers. The “bellyak” is a boat designed to be ridden on your belly. The boat features a planing hull, much like a kayak, that allows quick direction changes and floats the boater over and through the water, according to the company’s website. The company is throwing a July 14 launch party at Asheville Adventure Rentals featuring free demos, beer and live music. Here’s the details and a promotional video via the bellyak website:
