Just Us For All seeks performers, art for How We Identify event

Full announcement from Just Us For All

On March 28th, 2014 JUFA (Just Us For All) will be celebrating its fourth annual art + words event: “How We Identify”!

How We Identify is an art show where we hope to illuminate identities and experiences that may otherwise be ignored under the “queer” umbrella term. How We Identify is also an event that provides a platform for those voices, which helps us all come to achieve a greater understanding of others around us.

JUFA is looking for artists (of all mediums) to perform during this night of community and expression. Some performances last year included: spoken word, drag, visual art, burlesque, storytelling… (Just to list a few).

If you would like to perform at this year’s How We Identify or know any artists please email JUFA back with your name, contact information, a small blurb about what you will be performing, length of performance piece and a note of who you are for the MC to introduce you with.

JUFA’s Email: jufa.asheville@gmail.com

We are still figuring out this year’s location but we will email all performers the location ASAP!

Due to such a large number of performers showing interest for this year’s HWI we will be organizing this event as “first come first serve” so please sign up as soon as you can. The last date for submissions will be March 14, 2014!

Thanks so much & we can’t wait for this magical event!
