Laura Ingalls Wilder LIVE!

PRESS RELEASE:

Storyteller Daphne Ruth Darcy and fiddler Wayne Erbsen bring to life stories and fiddle tunes from the Little House books. Laura’s grit, perseverance, and flaws appeal to audiences ranging from 96 to 6.

In costume, Darcy performs vignettes from significant periods of Laura’s amazing life as a pioneer on the prairie. Erbsen plays selections from the 127 songs embedded in the nine Little House books. Some tunes are classic, some lend themselves to singing along, some are familiar like Arkansas Traveler and Buffalo Gals. Each section is followed by Q&A for the character and the artist. It’s a lively interactive event.  Enjoy a mix of drama, humor, nostalgia and toe tapping tunes.

“If you want to know the spirit of those times, you should hear these old songs.”
~Laura Ingalls Wilder

“We’re excited to bring our unique program to this fundraising concert series.”
