Les Femmes Mystique presents “Secrets Travel Fast In Paris” at The Altamont, April 24

Christine Garvin and Les Femmes Mystique bring a new variety production to The Altamont Theatre on Friday, April 24. “Secrets Travel Fast In Paris” includes a “lively night of dance, adventure, and PLENTY of secrets.”

Press release from event organizers:

It’s time to escape those winter blues and welcome Spring. But instead of saying hello to Asheville Spring in 2015, you’ll be whisked to 1920s Parisian Spring, the hotbed of culture, art, music, and of course – dance.

Twinkling lights, champagne-filled glasses, and Parisian backdrops accompany a flapper-and-fan inspired jazzy performance by Les Filles Charme, a French-farce and Can-Can by Les Femmes Mystique, a fusion performance of Jazzy Showgirl and Indian Bhangra, a sexy chair routine, along with a surprise flash-mob style set. Have your tarot read, your caricature drawn, and be sure to add your deepest, darkest secrets to our “Secrets Travel Fast” treasure chest.

Puppeteer and musician Valerie Meiss will astound you with her talents, and DJ Nex Millen will keep you on the dance floor in between performances with a mix of 20s swinging jazz and modern Hip Hop. Rodney Smith of Tempus Fugit Design will be there to capture the evening. Other pop-up street acts will find their way into the mix! Dressing in your sexiest 20s best is highly encouraged.

WHEN: Friday, April 24th, 2015, 8-11pm (doors open at 7pm)
WHERE: The Altamont Theatre, downtown Asheville
TICKETS: $12 in advance; $15 at the door
Tickets available at thealtamont.com/paris.
