Mannheim Steamroller partners with Toys for Tots

Mannheim Steamroller began as an alias for former country music artist Chip Davis. Far from twang and walking basslines and Mannheim Steamroller’s sound is electronic and dramatic. The group’s greatest success came from its modern recordings of Christmas music, moving 28 million albums in the U.S.

The group brings its holiday concert to the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. Manhheim Steamroller’s annual Christmas tour has consistently ranked among top national tours, according to press.

But there’s even more to recommend the show: “In the spirit of the Holiday season, AC Entertainment is working with Toys for Tots to provide aid to underprivileged children of Western North Carolina,” says a press release. “By selecting the CHARITY offer and entering the code GIVE at the Ticketmaster.com event page, $10 from every ticket sold to Mannheim Steamroller by Chip Davis will be donated to Toys for Tots. Western North Carolina Toys for Tots is a locally run campaign of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation covering Buncombe, Cleveland, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, Polk, Transylvania, and Yancey counties. All donations collected will go directly to those in need.”

Tickets are $57-$67 and are on sale now at the U.S. Cellular Center box office, all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com and 800-745-3000.
