Mars Hill University celebrates MLK Day

Mars Hill University will welcome former Asheville mayor Terry Bellamy as the keynote speaker for its Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Luncheon on Monday, January 20 in the Redway Conference Room of Pittman Dining Hall.
Later in the evening, MHU students will celebrate MLK Day with a Unity Candlelight Vigil at 5:30 pm, beside the fountain on the upper quad of the university. This year’s line-up includes singing and sharing on the topic of unity by numerous individuals and groups on the MHU campus.

Both events are hosted by the MHU Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. Seating is limited for the luncheon and attendees are asked to RSVP to Alaysia Hackett, Director of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, at ahackett@mhu.edu.
