In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the MG Road Bar & Lounge in downtown Asheville will host chef Gustavo Báez Thursday evening, May 5 from 6 p.m. until closing.

Báez, one of the original kitchen crew members of MG Road’s parent restaurant Chai Pani Asheville, is the current prep chef at the Chai Pani location in Decatur, Georgia. For the second year in a row, he will make a special appearance at MG Road to cook up some authentic Mexican cuisine for the holiday. A native of Mexico City, Báez will treat guests to a menu of tacos, tortas, tequila, and revelry like no other.
