Jill Hoggard Green, Ph.D., RN, Chief Operating Officer, Mission Health and President, Mission Hospital, is among the top women hospital leaders in the nation, according to a new ranking.
Becker’s Hospital Review released the 2016 edition of its list of 130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know, featuring Hoggard Green and other highly accomplished women leaders.
All recipients have demonstrated outstanding leadership and management throughout their careers, leading initiatives to improve their individual organizations’ quality, operational and financial performance, as well as the well-being of the communities they serve, Becker’s said.
“I am honored to receive this recognition,” said Hoggard Green. “This award is truly a testament to the phenomenal work of the entire team of caregivers at Mission Health. Their skill, compassion and dedication each day improves the lives and health of our friends, neighbors and family members.”
Prior to joining Mission Health, Hoggard Green held leadership positions at PeaceHealth, a system that includes nine hospitals in Alaska, Washington and Oregon, and at Intermountain health care in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ronald A. Paulus, MD, President and CEO, Mission, said western North Carolina has benefited from Hoggard Green’s dynamic leadership and strong background in not-for-profit health care.

Becker’s Hospital Review has published a version of this list annually since 2009.
