Mojo Coworking joins international celebration to support entrepreneurs

Press release from Mojo Coworking:

Mojo Coworking connects with entrepreneurial hubs across Southeast to accelerate startup support, spur information sharing.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Mojo Coworking, a locally owned coworking space, has joined startup supporters in five Southeastern cities who are using information-sharing technology to celebrate entrepreneurs worldwide.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest entrepreneurship event, with 140 countries hosting over 20,000 activities. Local startup supporters are sharing their GEW celebratory events and other business resources through StartupPoint Calendar, the first in a series of online, crowdsourced tools that connect startups with people and information vital to early business success.

“StartupPoint’s focus is enabling those people who support entrepreneurs to become more visible and accessible to entrepreneurs,” explained StartupPoint’s founder, Justin Sacks. “We’re launching StartupCalendar for Global Entrepreneurship Week to showcase the wealth of activities already taking place in Asheville and across the region.”

“Mojo Coworking is supporting StartupPoint in Asheville to connect local people with access to local resources who provide the support they need and help grow the startup eco-system here. The GEW celebration is the perfect way to illustrate the importance of these connections locally and nationally,” said Craig McAnsh, founder of Mojo Coworking.

Asheville is joined by Connectors and entrepreneurial leaders in at least four other Southeastern cities, with more joining since the platform launched last week. Metros already represented include: Atlanta Ga.; Charlotte N.C.; Savannah, GA.; and Wilmington, N.C..

As part of GEW, Mojo Coworking will be hosting daily events, including Sacks to speak at the 1 Million Cups of Coffee event on November 19th from 9am – 10am.

A full calendar of StartupPoint events can be found at http://startupcalendar.net/. More information on Global Entrepreneurship Week can be found at www.gew.co.

StartupPoint is an Atlanta-based, economic development, tech startup that is creating the world’s first global network of crowdsourced, hyperlocal entrepreneur ecosystems.
