Mojo Coworking to host 3D design and print camp for students

From a press release:

The new Mojo Tech Lab at Mojo Coworking will be holding classes and workshops for Middle and High School students (as well as adult learners of any age) starting this December.

Our 3D Design & Print Camp is a series of four hands-on classes that walks participants through all the stages of the 3D design and print process. Each day, students will build on the knowledge of the previous day’s lesson, culminating with a well planned, designed and executed 3D printed object.

The camp begins by giving students a broad overview of 3D printing. We will instruct students on how to think in 3-dimensions and teach the basics of 3D design. Finally each student will get to use our 3D printers to print the object they designed on their computer.

NOTE: All students should plan to bring their own computer to this class. Once enrolled, we will work with each student in advance of the class to install a free (trial version) of the design software that will be used during the camp. Having your own computer will allow you to practice 3D design at home.

The ticket price includes participation in the camp over 4 consecutive days during the school holiday break:

December 27 from 10am – 1:30pm

December 28 from 10am – 1:30pm

December 29 from 10am – 1:30pm

December 30 from 10am – 1:30pm

Since this class runs through lunch time, there is an option to purchase a pizza & beverage ticket that will include lunch all four days of camp. You may also bring your own lunch.

The camp will be equal parts group instruction, individual instruction, home work and hands-on work. We are intentionally limiting this first camp to 10 students in order to insure all students get the attention they need.

Anyone over age 13 can register for this class. If you feel your younger student may be able to participate, please contact us at info@mojocoworking.com to discuss. There is free street parking on Orchard Street and Orange Street which are a 5 minute walk. There is also metered street parking directly in front of our building. Please plan on bringing a computer in order to work on your own 3D design. You may also bring lunch/snacks (or you can add lunch at $30 for the four days). Please feel free to email us at info@mojocoworking.com with any questions. Mojo Coworking is located at 60 N Market Street, C200.
