Montford Farmers Market is moving to the River Arts District

Press Release

From (the new) River Arts District Farmers Market:

Asheville, North Carolina (June 16, 2014) – After 3 1⁄2 years behind the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, the Montford Farmers Market is moving to the River Arts District. Due to a growing need for parking from new Chamber resident Lenoir Ryne University, the farmers are packing up their fresh belongings and heading south…one mile.

“We are deeply appreciative of the Montford community for their support of our local farmers and producers these past few years,” says Christa Tolson, manager of the soon to be River Arts District Farmers Market. “We are sad to be leaving our location at the Chamber. But at the same time, we are excited for our new location just down the street.”
The Farmers Market is moving to All Souls Pizza at 175 Clingman Avenue starting Weds, July 2. Market hours are 2-6pm. A Grand Opening Celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 9, from 2-10pm in collaboration with All Souls’ One Year Anniversary. Festivities will include live music, food specials, market tastings and more.

The mid-week Farmers Market is a collective of local farmers and artisans providing an array of hand-crafted products. Sustainably grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, wood-fired breads, local meats, goat cheese, handmade soaps and more are offered every week.
