Mother Earth Produce makes it to semifinals in national competition for big prize

Local business Mother Earth Produce is set to face 29 other businesses in the semifinals of the nationally recognized Tap the Future Competition hosted by Miller Lite. Mother Earth will face business “Shark” in July, along with the other semifinalists in the competition.The competition has participation by several business gurus, including Daymond John from the hit show “Shark Tank” on ABC.

In order to compete, Mother Earth Produce submitted a business plan to the Tap the Future, and a panel of judges chose from thousands of applicants to move to the next level. Mother Earth is one of 30 semifinalists who have a shot at winning the competition’s first prize–a hefty $200,000 for their business.

Currently a local  organic delivery service, Mother Earth is owned by Andrea and Graham Duvall. This month Andrea and Graham Duvall will travel to Atlanta to pitch their business to a panel of business experts, including Daymond John from “Shark Tank.” Mother Earth Produce delivers produce from local organic farms to homes in Western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. They work with a group of regional farms to provide organic produce from the farm to consumer’s door.

“We are committed to a greater awareness of sustainable values,” says owner Graham Duvall. “Our partnerships with farmers and community-focused businesses and nonprofits are showing us that supporting locally-grown is not just a healthier choice, it’s a choice that unites us as a community.”

Arden, N.C. (June 2015) — Local business Mother Earth Produce will face a shark next month- a business shark to be more exact. Mother Earth Produce is one of 30 semifinalists in the nation in the Miller Lite Tap the Future Competition. The competition hosted by brewer Miller Lite has participation by impressive business moguls, including Daymond John from the hit show “Shark Tank” on ABC.  To compete, Mother Earth Produce submitted a business plan to the competition and a panel of judges chose from thousands of applicants to move to the next level. Mother Earth Produce is an organic delivery service owned by Andrea and Graham Duvall. In order to qualify for the competition, the Duvalls submitted a business plan, detailing information such as the background of the business, who they serve, the business financials and how their passion fuels the business.  Husband and wife team, Graham and Andrea DuVall, are committed to providing access to farm fresh, organic produce for everyone.  MEP believes in the power of locally grown, organic food to heal and nourish- both our bodies, our land, and our economy.
