Mountain Area Health Education Center seeks volunteers

Press release

From MAHEC:

The Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) is seeking volunteers with strong customer service skills to serve in the ObGyn practice and Family Health Center on the Mary C. Nesbitt Biltmore Campus. The goal for volunteers is to help provide a welcoming and supportive encounter for patients on the MAHEC campus. Volunteers will greet patients, provide information on where to go, and serve as a liaison between patients in the waiting room and MAHEC staff. This will be our first cohort of Patient Concierge Volunteers and selected volunteers will assist the MAHEC team in developing an effective and rewarding volunteer experience.

Contact volunteer@mahec.net for details. A minimum six month commitment is requested and volunteers must complete an application, interview and background check. Students and court ordered volunteers will not be considered.
