Press release from Chad Nesbitt campaign:

Republican Candidate for Chairman of the Buncombe County Commissioners Chad Nesbitt announced today that when elected he will donate his entire government salary to local charities and scholarships. The roughly $36,000 a year salary is one of the highest paid salaries in the state for this position.

Chad Nesbitt said, “Those of us raised in the mountains have always given back to our community. That’s just how we mountain people roll. We believe in helping one another on an individual basis. Our family business is great and I don’t need the money. My faith has always guided me to help people and there are a lot of people out here in bad shape. The future of our community is our children and I want to make their lives brighter!”

Over the positions four year term, Nesbitt’s government salary would reach nearly $145,000, all donated to local charity and scholarships of Chad Nesbitt’s choosing.

Really? A little late, Chad…why wait until the day before the primary? Miranda WINS big!
