North Asheville Community Center hosts annual vegan potluck, June 18

PROGRAM: 7:30 – 9:00 – “WALKING THE CAMINO” with Barbara Brady In the fall of 2014, Barbara took two months off to walk the 500 mile El Camino de Santiago, a spiritual pilgrimage in Northern Spain. Join us to view a colorful slide show from her walk, hear stories, and ask questions.

LOCATION: North Asheville Community Center

DIRECTIONS from Downtown: Go North on Merrimon Road. After passing Asheville Pizza, turn right at the light onto Larchmont Road, opposite Swannanoa Cleaners and up the hill from the Merrimon Post Office. Go to top of hill and turn right on Long Street. THE CENTER IS ON THE CORNER OF LARCHMONT AND LONG.

PARKING:   Park on street or in lot.

FACILITIES:  The center is large and inviting. It has a small kitchen with a stove for heating food and a sink for washing dishes.

OUR PRESENTER: Barbara Brady is an Interfaith Minister, Spiritual & Transformational Coach, & Grief Recovery Specialist. She’s an ordained Minister of Peace and is a certified Spiritual Intelligence Coach. She helps people develop their spiritual wisdom, find the wisdom inherent in their emotional and spiritual pain, and experience more peace, freedom and empowerment in their lives. While living overseas, she was exposed to a variety of religious traditions and supports all inclusive paths that teach wisdom, love, compassion and peace. In 2014 she walked the 500 mile El Camino de Santiago; a spiritual pilgrimage in Northern Spain.

PLEASE BRING:  One vegan organic dish to share, your own plate and utensils, including serving utensil. Please print clearly all ingredients used in preparing your dish. You are encouraged to be creative and have fun preparing and sharing your plant-based potluck creation!
