    These would be the ones from Cherokee? And if it is, wouldn’t the closed place be an ‘animal pit’ instead of ‘park’?

      The link to the article gives more detail and it does mention the bears are from Cherokee; what you see on our website is merely the lead. I did a bit of looking around for you and noticed it’s listed as both pit and park, depending on which website you go to. I am seeing more sources, including a Facebook page, list it as a bear park.     Thank you Brandy; I base the term on what it is (a pit). If the bears could talk, I doubt they would be wistful over the great time they had in the park.
