PRESS RELEASE: Pardee Hospital announced today that Andrew Wampler has been named its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective Sept. 30. Wampler joins Pardee’s executive team from Mountain States Health Alliance, where he was vice president of finance and Lean, and led system-wide corporate financial operations. He has extensive experience in financial operations, capital budgeting and integration of financial and clinical data, along with process improvement with Lean certification.

“It’s an exciting time to join Pardee Hospital. With a rich tradition in caring for the people of Henderson County with high-quality services and compassion, coupled with the vision to connect the community to an integrated network of care throughout the state, Pardee is positioned for smart growth,” said Wampler.

In Wampler’s role as CFO, he will lead Pardee’s financial operations and key supporting functions, including revenue cycle, accounting, internal audit, system budgeting, capital planning and decision support.

“I’m pleased Andrew has decided to join Pardee,” said Jay Kirby, president and CEO of Pardee Hospital. “His impressive experience in revenue cycle and process improvement will help lead Pardee’s strategic financial course through the changing reimbursement systems in today’s health care environment, including multiple payment models, state and federal regulations, and the focus on bundled payments.”

Wampler earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and has more than 15 years of finance experience in the health sector.

Pardee Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
