Radical Reels film fest tour & fundraiser for Pisgah Area SORBA, Sept. 8

The best high adrenaline films from the Banff Mountain Film Festival are coming to Asheville, NC on September 8, 2014.

Epic big mountain ski and snowboard descents, nail-biting speed climbing, stomach turning kayaking drops – and you haven’t even seen the steepest and gnarliest lines yet!  The Radical Reels Tour, now in its tenth year, continues to push boundaries with the best action sports films from the annual Banff Mountain Film Festival.

Experience more than half a dozen wild adrenaline-pumping sports as seen through the eyes of some of today’s top athletes. Join the party for a good cause. Profits of the presentation will go to Pisgah Area SORBA (local mountain bike organization). See you there, adventure film lovers!

Hosted by REI, the Radical Reels screens in Asheville at 7 PM, September 8 at Regal Biltmore Grande Stadium 15 (292 Thetford St. in Biltmore Park Town Square). For tickets and information visit www.rei.com/asheville or call 828-687-0918. Tickets now on sale at the REI only: $15 ($17 starting on September 7); VIP tickets $30 (includes best seats in the house, a goody bag, and special VIP raffle drawing). Event proceeds will benefit Pisgah Area SORBA. One night showing only and limited seating, doors open at 6 PM. Prizes will be given away at the screening.

This is the sixth Radical Reels Tour REI Asheville has hosted. Past event beneficiaries have been: Trips for Kids WNC (2013), Connect Buncombe (2012), Appalachian Trail Conservancy (2011), Wild South (2010), and Carolina Climbers Coalition (2009).
