Press Release

The POP Project’s “Rethink Ink Fundraiser” book sale is from 11:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, June 27 in the parking lot of Grace Baptist Church, 718 Haywood Road, West Asheville. The funds raised during the book sale will go to support POP’s mission to provide free books where there are needs. This is the same space used for the West Asheville Tailgate Market on Tuesdays.

There will be many types of books for sale, priced $1 and up, including:
Coffee table books
Cook books
Craft books
Medieval history
Novelty books
Hardcover and paperback novels
Biographies and memoirs
Pop culture books
Vintage books
Business and finance
Technology topics
Travel guides

POP will be bringing books that we currently have in surplus, and which are not ideal donations for our current list of partnering organizations. We ask that you bring cash or check and become the new home for a few of these books. On average, every dollar in POP’s budget equates to $10 in books donated back into the community. All proceeds from the Rethink Ink Book Sale Fundraiser will go directly to supporting the POP Project’s mission.
