Rudnick Foundation supports Hendersonville heritage work

(HENDERSONVILLE, NC, December 13, 2013) – The Center for Cultural Preservation, Hendersonville’s culture and heritage center, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a grant of $25,000 from the Perry N. Rudnick Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation of Henderson County to support its Mountain Elder Wisdom Project. According to David Weintraub, Executive Director of the Center, the funds will be used to document the life of mountain elders throughout Henderson County and the region for the purpose of developing a documentary film, a publicly accessible database of oral histories and a series of public programs.
