Salvation Army seeks clothing donations ahead of new school year

From Salvation Army:

CHILDREN’S CLOTHING, for Back-To-School.
DONATIONS NEEDED.

We will give Free children’s clothing, —
one (1) outfit, (limit, 3 garments) — for each child 12 & under.

But now we need donations of children’s clothing.

Children’s clothing donations may be dropped off, during business hours, at one of three (3) locations:

Salvation Army Family Store, 91 New Leicester Hwy, West Asheville; Salvation Army Family Store 2247 Hendersonville Rd., Arden, NC; Salvation Army Center-of-Hope, 204 Haywood St., Downtown

Distribution for Back-to-School will be scheduled for the month of August.

Distribution will be centered in two locations, — at the two Family Stores listed above. The need now is for donations of children’s clothing so that we might accumulate them, — sort them, — and get them ready for distribution in time for Back-to-School.

In the present economy there is acute need among children for basic items. Clothing is such an item, and we want to meet that need.
