Tenth Anniversary of The Haen Gallery, July 30

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HAEN GALLERY:

The Haen Gallery, located in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, presents a spontaneous show to celebrate 10 years at Biltmore Avenue as well as the abundance of new work produced by Haen Gallery artists this summer. This 10th Anniversary Pop Up Show will have an opening reception on Saturday, July 30th from 5:30-7:30pm.

The exhibition will include new work by Brian Tull, Alicia Armstrong, Larry Gray, Lynn Boggess, Ursula Gullow, Marci Crawford Harnden, Melinda Rosenberg, Mark Carter, and Dan Kaufman.

The Haen Gallery in Asheville opened in July 2006 with a show featuring Lynn Boggess, the unique and quintessential Appalachian painter. The gallery is owned and directed by Chris Foley, who moved to the Asheville area in 2004.

Chris was trained as a painter and sculptor and graduated with a BFA degree from Georgetown University. His involvement with graphic and fine art has been lifelong. In 1997 he co-founded Old Town Editions in Alexandria, Virginia with Mark McCormick- Goodhart, a photographic scientist at the Smithsonian Institution. The company has numbered among its clients The Library of Congress, National Portrait Gallery, The Museum of American History, National Park Service and World Bank and many others over the years.

The Haen Gallery is located at 52 Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville, across from Aloft Hotel and between the City Bakery and Chestnut. The gallery is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday 11am-6pm, and Sunday 12-5pm.
