The Council on Aging for Henderson County has been awarded a grant of $13,521 by the Community Foundation of Henderson County.

Hendersonville, NC, December 8, 2016 – The Council on Aging for Henderson County has received a grant award letter from the Community Foundation of Henderson County for $13,521. The grant funds will be used to purchase new technology to manage Meals on Wheels, one of their older adult nutrition programs.

“This grant will allow our agency to purchase and implement ServTracker, a comprehensive software program that automates driver routes, generates daily meal orders, streamlines the volunteer planning, and funding management” says Executive Director Trina Stokes. “The previous manual method enabled us to serve thousands of meals over the years, but now, with this innovative software system, the agency is better able to provide for the growing older adult population in Henderson County. We are so thankful to the Community Foundation of Henderson County for assisting in making this possible.”
