Actor auditions for Shakespeare’s King Lear for North Carolina’s longest running Shakespeare Festival, The Montford Park Players, will be held Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Hazel Robinson Amphitheatre, in Asheville.

Those who wish to audition must bring a headshot and a resume if available, and participants may substitute a prepared monologue instead of reading directly from the script during their audition. No singing is required.

Audition sides will be posted at montfordparkplayers.org, and for more information, please feel free to send an email at info@montfordparkplayers.org or call the box office at (828) 254-5146.

King Lear will be directed by Scott Keel and will open October 8 at the Masonic Temple.
