From a press release:

The Travelin’ McCourys with Billy Nershi of String Cheese Incident at The Grey Eagle, Dec. 4

WHO: The Travelin’ McCourys with Billy Nershi of String Cheese Incident
WHERE: The Grey Eagle Tavern – 300 E. Main St. Asheville, NC
WHEN: Thursday, December 4th 7pm Doors

The Travelin’ McCourys are made up of 80% of the Del McCoury Band, as sons of the bluegrass legend Ronnie McCoury (mandolin) and Rob McCoury (banjo) continue their father’s work – a lifelong dedication to the power of bluegrass music to bring joy into people’s lives. With fiddler Jason Carter and bassist Alan Bartram, the ensemble is loved and respected by the bluegrass faithful. But the band is now combining their sound with others to make something fresh and rejuvenating. The McCourys don’t stand still, they are on the road – and online – entertaining audiences with live music that includes some of the best musicians and singers from all genres; always different, always exciting and always great music.

The Travelin’ McCourys recently released and album with Keller Williams to critical acclaim. The album is a wonderful mixture of Keller’s easy-going Americana style and The Travelin’ McCourys precise mastery of Bluegrass. The McCourys have also been hitting the road with bluegrass all stars Peter Rowan and Tony Rice in a tribute to Bill Monroe. It is true, they do not sit still!
