Supastition [Charlotte NC]
Reform School Music

Supastition is an underground hip hop artist from Greenville, North
Carolina. After a brief career recording under the moniker of Blackmel, he
officially changed his artist name to Supastition.[2] He is quoted as
saying, “The name Supastition came from the fact that people didn’t
believe in me when I first started pursuing music. I had to prove myself
to people and still didn’t get love from in my state and around my city at
first. It was a name I chose, because some people believe in superstition
and some don’t.”[3] Supastition later inked a single deal with Bay Area
rapper Rasco of Cali Agents and his Pockets Linted Entertainment[4] record
label. This union spawned the 12″ vinyl for Broke Man’s Anthem and Battle
Cry, both produced by Supastition himself.

DJ Appaloosa [Asheville NC]
VTT/Underground Unheard

“My interest in scratching and djing was peaked with Herbie Hancock’s,
“Rockit”(Featuring Grand Mixer DXT). Jam Master Jay and DJ Jazzy Jeff were
also huge early influences. I always wanted to understand and learn how to
scratch ever since I first heard the sound. I always enjoyed trying to
make mixtapes and sounds with electronics but, never knew exactly what
gear to get. While attending the University Of Georgia in Athens, I made
friends with a DJ that had proper gear and was taught the basics. Been
Djing with “Technics 1200’s” since about age 20. I’ve had the honor of
opening up for DJ Qbert, Jeremy Ellis and Dj Spooky. I’ve done scratching
on many albums. The bands/groups/artists of note are “Life
Seeker”,”SoundTracks”, “Icehorse”, “Vinyl Time Travelers, “Dark
Matter”,”Helios Creed and Chrome. I’ve got some more collaborations in the
works. Looking forward to many creative projects in the future.”-DJ
Appaloosa
