Tranzmission holds benefit, April 28

Tranzmission, a local advocacy, education and support organization dedicated to making the lives of transgender and non-binary people healthier, happier and safer will hold a benefit at Toy Boat Community Art Space,  101 Fairview Rd., Asheville, on April 28,  starting at 8:00 pm. Performers will include aerial artists from Ashevile Aerial Arts and Dare to Fly Trapeze performing acts on the aerial hoop, live music from well-known local bands and musicians including Brynn Estelle and her band, Aerin Blue, Spaceman Jones, and a dance music session by DJ Deven Balsam. Proceeds will benefit the outreach and advocacy efforts of Tranzmission to support transgender members of the WNC regional community as well as broader efforts to educate and advocate for transgender equal rights and to help support local organizations’ efforts to petition and persuade state lawmakers to repeal NC House Bill 2. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
