United Way’s Day of Caring recruits volunteers to help local nonprofits

Press release from United Way of Henderson County:

On Friday, September 30th United Way of Henderson County is rallying almost 300 volunteers throughout the community for their annual Day of Caring to help make a meaningful impact in the community. Here in Henderson County, volunteers will be working on 36 service projects at 30 local nonprofit agencies to fulfill critical needs.

WHAT: Mobilize volunteers to improve conditions and fulfill service needs at local nonprofits
WHEN: Friday, Sept.30, 2016 – 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
WHERE: List of projects and locations can be found here: http://bit.ly/2bvhggh (click “details”) After projects are complete, volunteers are invited to attend an afternoon celebration at Southern Appalachian Brewery from 3-5 p.m.

WHO: Teams of Henderson County volunteers from local businesses and large companies (i.e. Meritor, Wilsonart, GE Lighting Solutions, etc.) as well as individuals, families, and civic groups.
