Vegan blogger seriously adores Asheville

The writer of the blog, Will Travel for Vegan Food, has embarked on a year-long quest to visit all of the vegan food-focused in the United States:

“My tour officially started on my 5 year vegan-versary – August 27th 2011. The plan is to visit as many, if not every single one, of the 100% vegan restaurants in the United States by October 28th, 2012 – my 30th birthday! As the ever inspiring Chris Guillebau once said, ‘I may succeed, I may fail–but I’ve committed to documenting the entire process for you, win or lose.'”

Naturally, she loves Asheville, visiting Plant, Firestorm and a number of other vegan-centric restaurants. So much did she like our veg-friendly town that she wrote two very extensive blogposts about it.

“As I mentioned in the first post about Asheville, there is only one restaurant (that I know of) that serves vegan food exclusively and that’s Plant … Despite this I spent another day in Asheville as there were a few other vegan-friendly restaurants that came highly recommended, along with two vegan companies that are now establishing their roots.

I was able to score a twofer on this day as I dined at the Laughing Seed Cafe with Scott and Pamela, the founders and owners of Wingbean (a vegan meal delivery service). More on that awesome couple in a bit.”
