Warren Wilson to host Buncombe Commissioners candidate forum

Press release from Warren Wilson College:

Warren Wilson College is hosting a Candidate Forum on Oct. 29 featuring District 1 and 2 candidates for the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners. The forum, open to all interested citizens, begins at 7 p.m. in Canon Lounge of Gladfelter Student Center.

District 2 Commissioner Ellen Frost and her opponent, Christina Merrill, will speak at the forum as will District 1 Commissioner Brownie Newman, who is unopposed in the 2014 General Election.

The candidates will be available to answer questions from the audience after they speak for about 10 minutes each concerning their candidacies and visions for Buncombe County. A Warren Wilson faculty member and a WWC student will moderate the question-and-answer part of the forum.

Early Voting in North Carolina this year ends Nov. 1, in advance of the Nov. 4 General Election Day.
