WNC 4 Peace launches month of activities with showing of Inside Peace

Kicking off a month of activities to raise awareness of the importance of practicing peace, Grail Moviehouse, 45 South French Broad St., in downtown Asheville presents Inside Peace on Saturday, August 20, at 12 noon..
This award winning documentary follows a group of inmates during hard time in a Texas prison as they embark on a journey of person discovery while struggling with society’s roadblocks and dangers as they prepare to enter a world that has labeled them as permanent problems despite having served their sentences.

 an ongoing competition of Students Art for Peace, which calls for entries of essays, artwork, poetry and videos with messages of peace due September 7,

Authors Speak Peace featuring DeWayne Barton, Cecil Bothwell, Clare Hanrahan,and Jeff Messer on Sunday, September 18, 2 PM at The Block off Biltmore, 39 South Market St.

A Drumming Circle at Center for Spiritual Living, Tuesday, September 20, 7 PM, 2 Science of the Mind Drive in West Asheville.
