Zombie Run and Spooky Fun

2014 ChA HAUNTED ADVENTURES
Zombie Run and Spooky Fun

Opening this year’s frightfully scary Halloween event will be Cherokee Historical Association’s 2nd Annual Zombie Run. As you begin the 2.5 mile grueling course which starts on the stage of Unto these Hills, watch out for Zombies lurking about. They’re after you and they won’t stop until they have you! If you can outwit and outrun the creepy undead then the finish line awaits you. CHA is partnering with the Cherokee Youth Center for this fundraiser which will be held on October 25th. Run begins at 12 noon. Registration fee required. The first 100 to register will receive a t-shirt and SWAG bag of goodies. Don’t want to run? Then you can become a Zombie. We will have a costume contest before the race for a chance to win $$. Put your zombie gear on! First 50 to register will also receive a t-shirt and SWAG bag. If you just want to watch, $5.00 will get you in the door and allow you to see the action.

Once the Zombie Run is over the haunting adventures begins. These events will be open starting October 25th and running through November 1st. We will be closed on October 27th and 28th only.
Perhaps you’ve heard about the Little Dorm of Horrors! This old boy’s dorm building is filled with creatures from your worst nightmare and their all waiting to catch you as you enter their habitat. You can try hiding from them but beware of what you might encounter! Will you make it out alive or will you get a toe tag and a trip to the mortuary?

Mountainside Theatre has been the home of many actors over the past 60 plus years. It is here in our Haunted Theatre that many souls remain. You’ll be surprised at what a restless soul is capable of. See for yourself that often the most terrifying acts take place behind the scenes. Be careful as you just might become part of the “story”. Hand holding is permitted while you navigate through one of the most haunted outdoor theatres in America.

And finally, be sure to visit the Oconaluftee Indian Village where you’ll be submerged in a journey through our Myths and Legends Ghost Walk. Over the years, many people have encountered spirits that occupy the campus. Will you see them as you listen to the stories of our ancestors through passed down legends such as Spearfinger, Ravenmockers, and The Little People.

Tickets are $10.00 for each haunted attraction, $18.00 for a combination of any 2 or if you’d like to visit all three; $25.00. For more information, please call Cherokee Historical Association at 828-497-2111 or visit our website at www.hauntedcherokee.com. Advance tickets can be purchased online or they can be purchased on the day of the event at the Box Office at Mountainside Theatre.
