To date the group in Asheville has been cooperative with the Asheville
Police Department. No Arrests or charges.
Attorney Jennifer Foster and others went before City Council, Tuesday,
Oct. 11, to request their approval to “Occupy” city park space.
Dialogue is still ongoing; yet organizers are saying that they are
running on limited time before they start violating the law with
occupation of parks, etc.

I am wanting to inquire in regards to the Occupy protests that occurred
in downtown Raleigh, NC on Sunday, October 9th. If possible, can you
provide any information available about this or any events in your area
that may have occurred. Specifically, if the protests were violent,
arrests made, usual techniques demonstrators had used, and approximate
number of participants.
This information has been requested by the Arizona Fusion Center to help
plan for their protests scheduled this month for their area. If there
are any questions, please let me know.
Have a wonderful day.
