I apologize. I do not have the original application. I did not realize
it was to be considered an approved application. When I arrived on
Monday I contacted the applicant to obtain a secondary emergency contact
so to complete the emergency plan and file for approval. That is when
she advised that she did not wish to be the applicant and that there
would be other members of the group stopping in to make a few changes.
When the other members of the group arrived to revise, there was so much
being changed that I needed to start from the beginning with a clean
application. The application that was filed is attached but has not
been approved due to lack of approval from AFD and Risk Management.
Unanimous review team approval is typically required for issuance of an
OSE permit application.

Thank you,

Jon can forward you both applications. The first application that we
approved on Friday, October 14th was rescinded the following week with a
new application with new signatures and requesting additional items not
on the original application, such as open flame to cook and heat with on
the site. These factors and the liability insurance are the main
factors for no approved permit at this time. It is my understanding
that the Occupy Asheville group will ask the fees be waived if they
decide to stay in this location. They paid the $25 application fee (in
pennies). Jeff has the most updated information in case I missed
something.

Robert & Jon: Can someone scan and forward me a copy of the permit
(initial six month) and permit application (extended period) for Occupy
Asheville?

Jeff and/or Robert: Can one of you help with the question in the last
paragraph. I’m at my desk if we need to discuss.

Dawa,

I know Tom said he was going to email you on this too, but...

I need to know whose name is on the Occupy Asheville permit. I talked to
a man today down there that said his was but I thought a woman said on
TV the other day she had the permit. I just need to confirm for a story
we are going to run first thing tomorrow., so I need to know today.

Also the man said he had not heard that they would be asking for the
city to pick up the permit fees. He said he was in the meetings with the
city and doesn't recall that being said. The memorandum from Jeff
Richardson says that will be asked for tomorrow at the Council meeting.
So I need to know who said they'd ask for that.
