Robert and Jon: Please take a look at my response to Russ and let me
know what you think.
Russ,
The permit application received by staff today is for a 6 month period.
Based on the needs defined by the group, there will be fees associated
with the following:
Meters 15 meters @ $15/meter/day
Barricades 30 barricades @ $25/barricade/day
Fire Department Inspection approx. $50
Temporary Use Permit approx. $175
For a six month period a very rough estimate would be around $90,000.
It is staff's understanding that the group is planning on approaching
Council to ask for fee waivers.

Dawa,
Do you know if there is any cost that goes with the occupation of the
"Occupy Asheville" folks under the Lexington Avenue overpass?
police, porta johns, lack of parking etc
Thanks?
