Youth Recovery Mentors - Montford Hall
Montford Hall is hiring part-time and full-time direct care staff to work in our residential treatment program for teenage boys in recovery from substance abuse. Appropriate applicants will have experience working directly with at-risk youth, knowledge of recovery theory and techniques, practice being empathetic while holding boundaries, the ability to respond calmly in crisis, and the skills to maintain a safe and positive environment. Additionally, mentors must be at least 21 years old, hold a college degree, pass a background check and drug screen, be CPR/First Aid certified, and maintain a valid drivers license. Ideal candidates will have personal or professional experience in addiction treatment and recovery and/or wilderness therapy experience.
Mentor duties include supervising youth both at Montford Hall and out in the community, planning and leading activities and physical education, administering medication, correcting inappropriate behavior, developing positive relationships with youth, and teaching youth skills for healthy independent living.
