White Duck Taco Shop plans a second location

The White Duck Taco Shop is planning to open a second location.

Here’s the latest from Ben Mixson and Laura Reuss, who own the mightily popular restaurant in the River Arts District.

“We have decided to move forward with a second location that includes table service, an expanded bar and slightly modified menu. It will still be White Duck Taco Shop, but a different experience for customers and something specifically targeted to neighborhood audiences.

We are adding a line of local tacos which include locally sourced meats, cheeses, and vegetables and expect to have that process finalized by the end of next week. These tacos will be slightly more expensive due to their artisanal roots and will be a true reflection of our commitment to quality and still be as delicious as regular menu items frequent customers know and love. Our local mushroom taco is already a menu item.”

The couple is not yet ready to divulge the new location for their second restaurant, but promises to keep Xpress updated.
