Henderson County Animal Services

Henderson County Animal Services provides shelter for adoptable and stray animals in the Henderson County area. The dedicated staff work every day to reunite lost pets with their owners and help families find their “forever friend.”

Located at 828 Stoney Mountain Road in Hendersonville, the organization spearheads a variety of community-minded programs throughout the year, including rabies clinics, spay and neutering programs and adopt-a-thons.

The first Santa Paws picture-taking fundraising event will take place at Henderson County Animal Services from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. No advance reservations are required; sittings with Santa are on a first-come, first-served basis. For $15, pet owners will receive a CD that includes five different images of their pet with Santa taken by professional photographer Joanne Bridges Weber, owner of Furry Fotography in Hendersonville. CDs are available for pick-up at the shelter starting Dec. 2.

Director of Henderson County Animal Services Brad Rayfield says, “Anyone with a cat or dog is welcome to this event. We especially hope that people who have adopted a cat or dog from our facility in the past will make it a special priority to bring those animals back to visit us and Santa during Santa Paws.” For more information, call 697-4723 or visit www.hendersoncountync.org/animals.
