Have you just ever felt so good about something that you wanted to break into an impromptu version of the “Hallelujah Chorus?” … Let me tell you why I felt that way recently. … Two dear, longtime friends (who live 10 hours away) showed up at the front door. They were “in the area” and apologized for not calling ahead, but just wanted to stop and see us for a few minutes. I was able, and willing, to fling the front door wide open, invite them in willingly with smiles, offer coffee … even breakfast if wanted … because THE HOUSE WAS IN ORDER!!

When you are sitting in your laundry room picking everything up off the floor … you’ll hear that FlyLady voice say something like: “Housework done incorrectly still blesses your family. At least they got the stuff to the laundry room instead of leaving it all over the house.” …

Sitting in peace
I am going on a little weekend trip with my Mom and sister-in-law in less than an hour, and I’m sitting here at the computer in total peace! Had this been a year ago, I’d still be racing around trying to get everything together!! My sink is sparkling, the laundry is done, hot spots have been doused, my bag is packed and waiting at the back door. … One funny thing that happened this week was my 9-year-old daughter came and asked me for “fling bags.” I said, “What?!?” She said, “You know, the 27 Fling Boogie bags. I want to go do my room!!” I ’bout fell over!!!!!! This child has NEVER been one to clean up her room on her own! She came out with two garbage bags full of stuff to go to the mission!
